Free-living Azotobacter chroococcum biofertilizer capable of fixing 20-40 kg N/ha/year in the rhizosphere of non-leguminous crops. Unlike Rhizobium, Azotobacter does not require symbiotic nodulation — it fixes nitrogen independently in the soil surrounding crop roots. Also produces growth-promoting substances including IAA, gibberellins, and vitamins. Effective for cereals, vegetables, cotton, and sugarcane.
